Welcome to Oikonomos International

  Missionaries are required by their sending agency and by U.S. Government regulations to leave the mission field periodically, for extended periods. In some high-cost locations, the missionaries must give up their homes, cancel their leases, and place their household goods in storage for the duration of their absence. Upon their return to the mission field, they often spend weeks or even months looking for and settling into a new home. 

Oikonomos Stewards cost-share and occupy the missionaries’ home while they are away. 

They also engage with the local church, assisting as needed. These assignments generally last 3-6 months.  

At present, our most frequent area of operation is the United Kingdom. House Stewards also serve in Czech Republic and Japan.

Oikonomos International is looking for Reformed church leaders and couples with a proven track record of service and a knowledge of doctrine demonstrated within their home church, a servant’s heart, and the time to travel.
